I’m writing to thank and commend Carson and Ruben of Hosepros for their assistance on my recent camping trip to Virginia. Its Memorial Day weekend, unseasonably cool and rainy and I was preparing to head out to return home for an urgent family need . I’m all packed up and pull out and hear something dragging — only to learn that I had a broken hydraulic line that prevented me from releasing my RV stabilizer jacks. I’m quite stable and going nowhere. I was feeling pretty desperate when I reached Ruben who told me it would take some time because of the distance but he would send Carson to help me. Carson arrived and crawled under my rv in the gravel and mud and rain and quickly found the issue and replaced the hydraulic line and got the lifters up so that I could drive and return home. I appreciated their kindness, communication and professional approach to addressing my problem. I got a follow up call to make sure I was ok on the road home. Just a really great service and it’s nice to know folks who care about helping people are still around when you really need them. I’m so thankful I was able to find them in my moment of desperation. Thank you again!Posted on Google Willard FarleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. He came to our place quickly and did a very good job replacing a bad hose. A Leaking Cylinder in a Plant Environment Is a Different Kind of Problem
In a field, a leaking cylinder is an inconvenience. Inside a manufacturing facility, it’s a liability — fluid on the floor, a machine out of position, and production backed up until someone solves it.
What makes plant cylinder failures different is the environment they run in. High heat, continuous cycles, and fluid that may not get changed on a regular schedule all accelerate seal wear. A cylinder that’s been running hot or on degraded fluid often needs more than a quick external fix — the internal seals, o-rings, and packing need to come out, get inspected, and get replaced properly.
We pull the cylinder, bring it to our shop, and reseal it to spec. When we bring it back, it goes back on the machine the same way it came off — no guesswork on reinstallation. After its installed, we run a thorough test to make sure everything is functioning correctly before the machine goes back into production.
Our goal at Hose Pros is to provide all of Southwest Virginia with a reliable solution for on-site hydraulic cylinder repair that completely removes the hassle of typical repair options in this area. Before we existed, most equipment owners had to haul machinery to a shop, or remove parts themselves and take it to get fixed. That is now a thing of the past! Just check out the reviews from our happy clients.

When Resealing Isn't Enough — Knowing When to Source a Replacement
Not every cylinder is worth resealing. If the rod surface is too far gone or the barrel has damage that seals can’t compensate for, putting new seals in it is a short-term fix that fails quickly.
We’ll tell you straight when that’s the case. If the cylinder is beyond what a reseal can fix, we help you source a replacement — so you’re not left hunting down a part number on your own while your equipment sits idle. Getting the right replacement cylinder to a Danville industrial operation faster than waiting on a standard parts order is part of what we do.
Signs a replacement is the better call:
- Seals have been replaced before and failed again quickly
- The rod surface is visibly damaged and causing seal contact issues
- The cylinder won’t hold pressure even with new seals installed
- Internal components show contamination damage throughout
